Carbon monoxide analyzer

The Horiba APMA-370 analyzer, measures CO concentrations in ambient air ranging from 0 to 50 ppm  using a non-dispersive infrared  (NDIR) analyzer and cross flow modulation. It  employs an independent, internal dry-method sampling device to avoid water vapor interference. The resolution of the instrument is 5 measurements per second but at Chacaltaya data are averaged and stored every minute. Until 2013, annual verifications of the zero drift  and calibrations, but starting in 2014 new means at the station allow this verification every three months.    
With the arrival of a more precise instrument (Picarro G2401) measuring CO, the instrument stopped working at the station to be used in other field campaigns in 2020.
