Sulfur dioxide analyzer
The atmospheric SO2 concentration is measured with a Thermo Scientific 43i-TLE pulsed fluorescence analyzer. The 43i-TLE is based on the principle that SO2 molecules absorb ultraviolet light, become excited at one wavelength, and then decay to a lower energy state emitting UV light at a different wavelength. The 43i-TLE analyzer started operations in May 2019 and runs continuously, saving one-minute resolution data points. It is bimonthly checked with a traveler system. Contact person: Fernando Velarde |
