Methane (CH4) flask sampling

Atmospheric methane for isotope analysis (δ13C of CH4) started at Chacaltaya GAW station in 2014 in collaboration with the Royal Holloway University of London. This is a contribution to the state of knowledge of methane, globally and in South America.

An air parcel is collected with the help of a pump in a Tedlar® sampling bag, at least once a week. Then, it is stored and shipped to RHUL approximately every year.
